This is certainly true. I’m a man. I’m the one that has to do the dishes, that has to take care of our children, that has to make sure their rooms are clean. I’m the one that has to clean up after them, so that their rooms are clean and their food is safe. I’m the one that has to keep our home in order, so that it’s ready when we need it to be.
You’re a man? I’ve never heard that before.
In the movies, the man goes to the dark side. In real life, that’s a real possibility. A lot of us men are on our own in the world, working to make our family’s lives better, but when we’re a man, we’re the only ones that have to do it. We’re the ones that have to make sure it’s safe. We’re the ones that have to make sure it’s clear and tidy.
I used to be a man. I used to be the man that was always taking care of the house. Now its in a world that I have to pay attention to. I can’t let my house fall apart. I have to be prepared for when someone comes in and tries to take a wrecking ball to the place I live. I had to build myself a safe place. You have to make sure your house is ready for when you are.
All these tasks require attention. We’re so busy we forget we’re in the middle of the moment and that things could be a little different than they are. A home needs to have an organized and safe space that is ready for when you come home, not just when you go in. The house, office, and closet you put in are important, but so is the one that is ready to be thrown out the door on a moment’s notice.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a person so focused on self-improvement. They’re so in love with themselves that they can’t just think about the things that they do wrong. They have to focus on getting better. Of course, this is an extreme example of the type of person who is the best at everything, but it’s a reminder that it’s not just about the tools you use.
This is the kind of thing that can be good or bad depending on the person. It’s good that a person has that ability because it allows them to get to work faster and improve the rest of their life. It’s bad when a person has that ability because they make all the wrong choices in life and are unable to get themselves out of a bad situation.
